  Lucy POV

  "Running!"

  That's all I know now.

That's what I have been doing since I was kicked out of my pack.

I, Lucy Lopez, have been kicked out of my pack for shifting late and worst, shifting to an Omega. Of course being an Omega wasn't a crime but in the eyes of my family it was more than crime. Family are the beta blood of the pack, and for ages now, they all shift to beta when it's was time to shift. So now they all felt I was a disgrace to the family.

I was bullied since I was 13 and didn't shift like others did. When it was my birthday, I was so excited to shift. It's is a dream of every wolf to shift and become fully part of the pack. My mom and dad were excited for me too. Since they are betas so they expected me to shift and take over the role as beta next.

I was always quiet, scared of other people that weren't my family. You don't know who a person is, how can you trust them? This caused me to be almost mute, only talking when I felt safe, which was almost never.

When I didn't shift, my family started ignoring me, because it's was a disgrace to their position in the pack that their only child couldn't shift at the right time. The rest of the pack mistreated me. Beat me, hurt me, made me scream in pain, it was very humiliating. My younger cousins and other pack members even shifted and I was yet to. I became the joke of the family and the whole pack itself.

Finally came my 17th birthday, and I unexpectedly started to shift. I was very excited and my parent too where excited. My parents finally gave me their attention, but it all changed when my shift was finished.

I shifted to an omega. And my parents treated me worst than they did when I didn't shift at the age of thirteen. I was an omega. Nothing better than the dirt on their shoes. That's how they saw me as.

My pack kicked me out, And since was old enough to be on my own, They didn't feel bad about kicking me out.

Now I'm running. I heard there is a ruthless royal pack nearby me, here in Cuba,North America. They were our neighbors but we had an alliance. Now that I'm not a part of a pack, I'm free game. Anyone can attack and kill me.

I'm running from my pack. They are chasing me out, making sure I don't sneak back onto their lands.

When I've passed the pack boundary, they run off, leaving me

alone. I keep running, wanting to run

from my past as fast as I can. My

family is no longer my family. They supported the Alpha when he kicked me out. I feel my pack link sever, and I feel empty. I'm no longer in a pack, I smell like a rogue.

I run for days, pausing only to try to hunt and get water. I'm following a stream that I can tell leads to a large lake. The smell of a large body of water is up ahead, and I decide that would be a good place to rest. I see a beautiful clearing with mountains behind the lake. The sun is setting, and it's the most beautiful view I've ever seen.

I lay down and just watch, admiring the view. The pinks and oranges soon fade to pinks and purples. I see the stars start to show up, making the view even more beautiful.

This is the only time I've felt peace since running away.

  Asa POV

I will soon be the Alpha of the Royal Eclipse Pack. It used to be two different pack, the Royal Moon Pack and the Eclipse Pack, but they were merged together by my parents, Asher and Ella when they got married since my mother was also the alpha of her pack just as my dad was. Speaking of my parents, they called me into their office.

I'm almost 18, so that means I will be taking over the pack soon. They have me doing all types of jobs that they do as Alphas, getting me used to the requirements of the job.

I very sure that is exactly why they sent for me. I knock on their office door, and I hear a faint,

  "Come in," from my mom.

I walk in, putting a serious business face on. To be Alpha is to have responsibility, so I need to show that I'm ready.

"Hello Asa, we've called you here, because we want you to have check on a rogue that has crossed onto our territory.

The rogue is at the old clearing that the family goes to. I need you to bring her in and see if she is a threat or comes in peace. Since you are soon to be Alpha, I am bestowing this responsibility onto you," my dad says formally, keeping up his Alpha appearance.

"Okay, I'll go check it out now.

"Be safe and always remember the whole pack is counting on you, therefore don't disappoint them". My father said.

"No problem sir! I won't disappoint you nor the pack". I said.

"I trust you". My dad said with a smile on his face.

"Thank you, Alpha," I say, smirking when I say Alpha. I've never had to be formal with my parents, seeing as they are both Alphas. I've always just called them mom and dad, not seeing a point for the formalities. Dad just looks at me with a playful glare, before going back to helping mom with work. They have been Swamped with running two joined

packs for the last twenty years, but they manage.

I head down the familiar path to the clearing, having gone here many times as a family. It's our spot, where my family goes all the time. I have a pair of clothe in hand, knowing that the rogue will need to shift back. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable in her human form.

Reaching the clearing, I see the rogue that my parents were talking about. It was just laying in the middle of the clearing, watching the view. It doesn't seem to be feral, so I slowly approach. I take in the scent, and smell that it is freshly rogue. I also smell the most amazing scent ever. Chocolate and the forest.

  "Mate!"

My wolf said. I can't believe have just found my mate. The rogue's fur is a white blonde with golden lining near it's paws which is absolutely stunning . I purposely step on a twig so the rogue hears me. The rogue turns, and our eyes lock. For a second, the world stops. The only thing that matters is tus. We stare at each other, dazed, before the rogue realizes what it's doing. She quickly scrambles to stand up and cowers away.

Her stature shows that she is an omega.

I walked here in my human form, so I put my hands up in a surrendering manner. Showing that I mean no harm, I slowly walk closer. The rogue flinches but stands its ground. She shows no signs of being aggressive, hee instincts not showing through. Normally even nice rogues growl to tell people to

  back off.

Can you shift back?" I ask politely, knowing that she isn't feral.

The rogue, my mate, tilts her head questioningly. Maybe she doesn't know how to shift back? That must mean that she is 13 and that she hasn't shifted long time ago.

I explain, "To shift back, imagine your human form. The dirt underneath your feet, the air going into your lungs. The wind blowing through your hair."

She nods, and I see her bones start to break. Soon she is kneeling in her human form, naked. I don't let my eyes wander and continue staring my mate in the eyes.

  "What's your name?"

I ask, wanting to know about my mate

and why she is a rogue.

My mate just shakes her head, refusing to talk. Although I got a little mad at this, I understand. It is a scary situation she doesn't know me nor my intentions. I could be dangerous person for all we know.

Her hair is the same white blonde

as her wolf, her eyes are a sky blue which looks beautiful. Her nose and cheeks are dusted with freckles, looking so soft.

She is still kneeling so I walk up to her and offer her a hand, "Let's get back to the pack house and get you settle down.

I also hand her a pair of clothe which is a blue sweatpants and a matching sweatshirt to put on, knowing she would be more comfortable with clothes.

She looks at least 17 years old, so I know she feels the mate bond. She looks at my hand and then back at my eyes as if she is trying to see if she can trust me. She hesitantly lifts her hand to mine but pulls back immediately when she feels the sparks. She looks at my hand in wonder, curious as to why the sparks occurred.

I smirk slightly, "That's the mate bond, little mate." She's small for her age, probably about 5'0. I know that is my moms nickname from my dad, but it just seems right. She looks up at me with confusion. She must not know much about the mate bond.

She reaches up and grabs my hand softly and I just enjoy the sparks. She is soon lifted onto her feet and I lead her back to the pack house.
