Pregnancy at six weeks.
When I read the ultrasound report's words, I felt like I was on a roller coaster. We just did it once, so how did we manage to conceive so quickly?
What do I need to do next?
What would happen if I were to tell Andrew about this? No, I'm afraid that's not the case. On the contrary, instead, he would view me as vile and use the child as a weapon in order to intimidate him.
A few minutes later, I left the hospital with my backpack full of paperwork in hand.
Outside the hospital, there stood a shiny black Maybach with its windows open one-third. The driver's seat was clearly visible from the outside, with a faraway, icy look on his face.
People were naturally drawn to the sight of such an attractive man driving a high-end vehicle.
It had always been assumed that Andrew Harrison was the more affluent and beautiful of the two. However, after so many years of seeing the same things, I had become accustomed to them. I slid into the passenger seat, completely oblivious to the onlookers' rapt gaze.
He was lying there with his eyes closed when he noticed movement and inquired in a quiet voice, "Done?" without even bothering to open his eyes.
"Yes!" In response, I nodded and handed him the signed contract from the hospital, and said, "Cole Hatfield requested that I convey his best wishes to you!" I was supposed to sign the contract today, but I ran into Andrew on the way. How did he decide to send me over? Who knows.
"You'll be in charge of this investigation!" When it came to conversation, Andrew wasn't your typical conversationalist. After he gave the order, he started the car without even looking at the contract I had given him.
I nodded my head and remained silent.
My options were limited after a time of stillness, and I had no idea what else to do.
We were on our way to the city center, and it was already dark. It's not clear what his next destination would have been if he didn't want to return. My curiosity was piqued throughout the entire ride, but I remained silent because I had never taken the initiative to inquire about his personal life before.
Only the ultrasound result was on my mind, but I couldn't figure out how to tell him. In the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of his face scanning the horizon ahead. It was as if nothing had changed.
"Andrew!" My palm, which was gripping my bag, became somewhat wet as a result of my outburst. Because I was scared, my body was covered with sweat.
It's up to you. In the four words that came out of his mouth, I couldn't find any other feelings, and I couldn't understand why.
As far as I know, he's always treated me this way. After some time, I came to terms with the reality of things. I took a deep breath and muttered, "I..." to calm my nerves. I was pregnant at the time.
Only three words were required of me to express my feelings, but at the same time, his phone rang, so I was obliged to hold back.
Jamie, what's wrong? There are those instances where a person's gentleness is meant for only one person, whether it's a deep affection or a rush of adrenaline. Even if it was only intended for one person.
That Andrew's kindness was reserved for Jamey Burton was evident from their talk.
Jamey's voice on the other end of the phone prompted Andrew to slam on the brakes. When he called her to console her, "Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes. Remain there."
While staring at me with his severe face, "Get off the automobile!" after the phone call,
An order with no room for negotiation.
In the past, he'd been known to act in a similar manner. The words I had planned to say got sucked out of my mouth as I nodded. Then I got out of the car and opened the door.
Andrew and I got married by accident, but it wasn't because we had feelings for each other. Andrew was only interested in Jamey, whilst I was nothing more than an accessory or possibly a hindrance.
After his grandfather suffered a heart attack two years ago, Andrew's father went to the hospital. He urged his grandson to marry me as he lay in the hospital bed. As much as Andrew was hesitant, he eventually agreed to help out his grandpa in order to make him happy. Andrew completely ignored my existence for the past two years while the old master was still around. He couldn't wait any longer to get a divorce lawyer after the death of the old master.
My return to the property was met with a twilight arrival; It seemed haunted when I entered the enormous house. Probably as a result of being pregnant, I had no desire to eat, so I went directly to the bathroom to wash up before turning in for the night.
A motor being shut off in the yard woke me up before I could fall asleep.
Was Andrew the one who said it?
What happened to Jamey?
