Introduction
On the wedding night, Irene Smith was framed by her stepmother to marry Louis Wilson, a disfigured and disabled man. Fortunately, she managed to escape, but little did she know that later she would fall for the man she was betrothed to. Louis pretended to be a poor man, but he didn't think that he'd fall head over heels for this woman. Their life went on until one day, Irene Smith discovered the secret of her boyfriend. "Huh? How could a poor man have billions of dollars' worth of assets?" Irene asked in disbelief. Mr. Wilson didn’t know how to respond. Ireneh gritted her teeth angrily, "They said that you couldn't walk, but as far as I can see, you're strong enough to run a marathon." Still, he remained silent. Irene was furious, "They even said that you only have a few years to live. What about now?" Finally, Louis opened his mouth to explain, "Honey, it's just a misunderstanding. Please calm down. Think about the baby." Irene shouted, "Louis Wilson." Mr.Wilson quickly knelt down.

The night fell.

The Smith family was going to marry off two daughters at the same time today.

Wearing a wedding dress, Irene Smith sat in front of the mirror, with exquisite makeup. She was very happy.

Today was her wedding day with Matthew Garcia.

They had been in love for a year and finally tying the knot.

"Sister, you are so lucky. You are going to marry the Garcia family, an aristocrat family in Detroit."

Wearing the excat same wedding dress, Della Smith walked in and spoke in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

Seeing how beautiful her sister looked, Della was greem woth envy. How she wished she could scratch Irene's pretty face!

Irene' s expression hardened, "I also want to congratulate you, Della. You are going to be the fourth wife of Louis Wilson soon. By the way, I heard that Mr. Wilson had a car accident recently and that he couldn't walk and was dying in a couple of years.. If you marry him, you will be a widow soon."

"Irene Smith!"

Della was so angry that her face turned purple. When she thought that Irene was going to marry to the Garcia family, but she was going to marry a disable man, she clenched her fists fiercely.

"Irene, you don't know what the future holds for us. Do you really think that you'll be Mrs. Garcia forever?"

"Della, Irene, here you are!" With two cups of coffee in her hands, Megan Smith walked in with a smile on her face, "Have some caffeine in your system first. The grooms' cars are still on the way."

The hypocritical smile on her stepmother's face made Irene frown. They had been together for more than ten years, how could she not know what kind of person Megan was.

Irene took solace in the fact she would be moving out of the house soon and wouldn't have to see Megan and her daughter any more, so she took the cup of coffee, albeit hesitantly.

"Thanks." Irene only took a sip.

"You are welcome, dear." Seeing that Irene drank some, Megan breathed a sigh of relief. "Although you are not my biological daughter, I have treated you as my own. I am sad you're going to be leaving us."

Megan' s eyes reddened as she spoke.

Irene sneered within herself. Megan was really good at acting.

When she was eight years old and her mother had only been dead for less than a month, her father took into the house Megan and her daughter Della, who was one month younger than her.

Only until then did she realize that her father had already betrayed her mother and had an affair in marriage.

"Ma'am, the Garcia family's car is here." A servant reminded Megan at the door.

"Very well, then." Megan winked at the servant and said, "Edith, take Irene to the car."

Hearing this, Irene's stood up but sudenly felt a little dizzy. Her vision was blurred, so she could only be let the servant lead the way.

A black car was parked at the gate of the Smith house. The servant, Edith, put Irene in the back seat.

From the balcony, Megan watched as the car drove away. The smile on her face deepened.

"Mom, are you sure this is going to work? What if Irene finds something wrong on the way?" Della Smith was a little worried.

"Don't worry. I have arranged everything. She has to marry the Wilson family for you."

It turned out that the black car belonged to the Wilson family, not the Garcia family.

Della asked nervously, "But how should I get through Matthew tonight?"

Megan stuffed a bottle of medicine into Della Smith's hand and whispered, "Give this to Matthew tonight. After tonight, the Garcia family can't deny you. But remember, don't let him see your face."

"Alright, I see." Della hid the bottle carefully, her face full of jealousy and hatred. "Mom, I have to make Irene’ s life a living hell. Then she will know the consequence of stealing my man."

Megan sneered, "I doubt that Irene willsurvive tonight. Do you know what happened to Louis's ex-wives? They all disappeared mysteriously."

……

Sitting in the back of the car, Irene still felt extremely dizzy. Her body temperature keep rising, and her cheeks were burning red.

She thought of the coffee Megan had sent to her and had a sinking feeling.

She had fell into Megan Smith's trap.

There was something wrong with the coffee.

Looking out the window, Irene noticed that they weren't headed in the direction of the Garcia house, she immediately became vigilant and panicked.

"Stop the car! Stop the car right now!" Irene shouted at the driver anxiously, "Who are you? Where are you taking me?"

Hearing this, the driver looked at her in the rearview mirrior with visible confusion. "Miss Smith, the Wilson family sent me to pick up their bride. This is the way to the Wilson family."

"The Wilson family?"

It suddenly drawned on Irene.

She didn't expect that Megan would play such a trick.

"Stop the car. I should be marrying the Garcia family. You've made a mistake."

"How can there be a mistake? Miss Smith, the veil you are wearing was chosen by the Old Master Wilson himself."

Irene looked at the veil in her hand and finally understood.

‘Megan Smith, you are so cruel!’ thought Irene.

She didn't want to marry the Wilson family. She wouldn't let Megan and her daughter have their way.

But the drug's effect on her body made her feek extremely uncomfortable. "Stop the car." Irene tried her best to control herself and growled.

"Miss Smith, we're almost there... Miss Smith, what are you doing?"

The driver was shocked when Irenesuddenly opened the door and jumped out of the car.

Irene rolled on the ground several times before coming to a complete stop. The severe pain sobered her up immediately.

"Miss Smith, please get back in the car."

Seeing that the car stopped and the driver caught up with her, Irene gritted her teeth and limped out, enduring the pain.

The pain was the best thing to sober her up.

Irene was flustered. She knew the consequences of being taken back.

"Miss Smith, please don't run. Come back with me."

Hearing the driver's shouts from behind her, Irene ran even faster. She was so anxious that she was about to cry. She didn't want to marry Louis Wilson.

It was dark around. The person behind her was about to catch up. The dizziness in her head was almost unbearable.

Irene was so desperate that she didn't know where to run. Suddenly, she saw a black car parked not far away. A man in a casual suit was leaning against it, busy talking on the phone.

Just as the man was about to get in the car and leave, Irene ran over with all her strength, panting and begging, "Help please! Help me."

The man was stunned and glanced at Irene.

At this time, the man on the other end of the line was shouting anxiously, "Your bride is about to arrive. Why haven't you here yet? "

"Shut up!" Without giving the caller a chance to retailate, the man hung up the phone expressionlessly.

At the same time, the driver ran over. Irene didn't have time to think. She quickly opened the door and got in, regardless of the man's permission. She put her palms together and begged with a slightly crying voice, "Please help me!"

The driver approached the car. "Miss Smith, please come out of the car. We're running very late, Mr. Wilson..."

The driver was shocked when he saw the man's face clearly.

Before he could finish his words, the man cast a cold glance at him and barked, "Fuck off!"
