Il Airport, Country Z.
Two men dressed in black suits and sunglasses were escorting a woman of Eastern descent towards a helicopter.
The woman had delicate features and a calm demeanor. Her clean face bore no expression of fear. Her light-colored lips, devoid of lipstick, carved out a cold smile. Her delicate chin lifted slightly, and her dark eyes focused on the helicopter not far ahead.
The men escorting her were on high alert. Their eyes, hidden behind sunglasses, were carefully watching the surroundings while guarding against her.
A trace of mockery flashed in Xiao Qianhan's eyes. Did they really need to be on such guard against her, as if she was an imminent threat? She had no chance of escaping now, did she?
She was a special agent for the Military Intelligence Division 7 of Country Z. A month ago, she was ordered to go to Country Y to carry out a mission. Unsurprisingly, just like all her previous tasks, she successfully completed this one. Unexpectedly, this task turned out to be a trap set by Country Y with the help of her boss and boyfriend, Jiang Ze.
Her most trusted boyfriend turned out to be a spy lurking in Country Z!
A flawlessly arranged set-up cast her as the traitor of Military Intelligence Division 7. Faced with clear evidence and witnesses, she stumbled for the first and only time, ironically, in the hands of the person she trusted the most! After negotiations, Country Z was forced to hand her over to Country Y.
The main purpose of escorting her to Country Y was to extract intelligence information about the Military Intelligence Division 7 through various torturous means. Even Jiang Ze was not privy to some of these secrets. Despite being Jiang Ze's subordinate, she was under the command of the highest leader of Military Intelligence Division 7 during missions, and thus had access to some secrets Jiang Ze couldn't touch.
To prevent her from escaping, they had injected her with a drug. Now, she was just like any ordinary woman, with no strength to escape. Despite this, they remained extremely cautious.
Suddenly, disaster struck!
Amidst the urgency, the sound of gunfire arranged in ambush cut through the overcast airport.
The pilot of the helicopter and the Commander of the Special Force Team from Country Y, both got shot dead.
The two escorts of Xiao Qianhan immediately reacted.
In the middle of a gunfight, Xiao Qianhan seemed to see a glimmer of hope.
However, the very next second after hope came despair!
The two people beside her fell to the ground, Xiao Qianhan's eyes stared directly at Jiang Ze, who was walking towards her, and her once colleague.
Jiang Ze walked up to her, his handsome face showed no emotion, coldly detached like a stranger.
The man who once repeatedly declared his life-long love for her, could treat her so ruthlessly, and harm her with such cruelty!
The moment she saw him, she felt a sudden pain, as if her chest was being ripped apart.
The feeling of being betrayed, deceived, was unimaginably painful!
"Qianhan, don’t hate me. You are just too naive!" He whispered.
Xiao Qianhan's back stiffened, her face slightly pale, she bit her lip and let out a low chuckle without saying a word. She knew she couldn't escape today. Since she couldn't survive, she would drag Jiang Ze down with her!
When Jiang Ze fired a bullet into her chest, he also fell to the ground with a gunshot wound.
Jiang Ze's eyes were full of disbelief. He incredulously looked back at his most trusted subordinate who had brought him here, why? why would he shoot at him?
"Country Y bought you for five million dollars, I used all my wealth and bought your man. The betrayal I've experienced, I want you to taste it once too... Jiang Ze, even in death, I will step over your dead body!"
