'The world was eerily silent, it was a little shocking when seconds ago it was pure chaos. With mourns everywhere, their pig-like wails were relenting and annoying,' was what Ellie thought as she finished her cup of noodles and threw it in the bin.

Ellie rolled her eyes at the dramatic display of terror the people were making on the screen and turned off the television. "Fools," she muttered softly and turned to the next page of the manga that she was currently reading.

Instead of grieving over it, people should instead spend their last moments with something they cherish. For example a person or if you don't have a person or a pet, then an object you deeply cherish.

The world was ending, that was what the news broadcasted weeks ago when they spot an asteroid slowly reaching Earth. No one can put a stop to it was what everyone thought, well maybe Superman can... but he doesn't exist.

"Why must we delude ourselves in the world of fiction other than it being entertaining? These things can't be bought to life, and they are rendered useless when problems arise in reality... so why do people like me are having fun with it?"

Ellie was absorbed in her thoughts, caressing the main character on the manga that she was reading. Her brows furrowed and there was an unknown emotion in her eyes as she stared at the girl that just recently killed a villain and saved the world from their evil hands.

The people were pitiful, they created bunkers but what would that do, when they claimed that the asteroid was hotter than lava and could potentially reach the core of the earth when it lands and crash every existence in Earth. They robbed stores for food and banks for wealth, when it would be all useless when they're in their graves.

It was all useless, what she was doing was useless as well.

'In the end... I didn't get to finish this manga, what a waste! If only I had read it sooner,' That was her last thought, feeling sad that she didn't get to see the happily ever after of the main character, before she saw outside the window, how the asteroid brightened the world and made her vision turned white.

A drop of something slippery falls on her cheek, waking Ellie up. She wiped it off and her hand stopped when she realized something, Ellie hurriedly sat up and opened her eyes.

A dark place that was illuminated with crystals greeted Ellie's sight. She gasped in disbelief and was bewildered as to where she is right now and how she was still alive.

"I should've been dead right now..." she murmured and got up. observing her surroundings. A liquid fell on top of her head, she looks up, curiously, and saw a light red crystal-like structure that was slowly melting... and seems to be the ceiling where she was peacefully laying down.

Ellie took a step back, away from the crystal structure to see what it was. The crystal structure was shaped liked a roof for a crystal bed under it, the bed was also melting, maybe because she got out of it and it already served its purpose or something more.

Next to the bed were vines that had flowers attached to them, the flowers resemble a lot like roses but Ellie wasn't sure because there were all various kinds of colors that she normally hasn't encountered when buying roses.

Ellie touched her face and stared at her reflection on the crystal surface. Slightly wavy hair framed her tiny face, its fire-like color was eye-catching paired with dark golden but shining eyes.

The girl she was staring looks like to be her late teens, she was beautiful, but... this wasn't Ellie's face. "Wh-what? Why do I look like a Goddess... did I steal someone's face?" She shrieked and cupped her face and pinched it, then she stopped afraid that she would ruin the face that was reflected on the surface.

Ellie decided to ignore her face for now and observed the area, knowing where she is located is more important than her appearance. She went closer to the crystal and checked if there was anything inside it, unfortunately, there wasn't a single thing that could potentially tell her something useful, other than that constant annoying dripping sound there was nothing.

Ellie went to the walls of the room and inspected the grass-like vines that were clinging to the rocky wall. She tried to pull it but it was glued tight to the wall, she later grew bored of acting as a detective and decided to venture outside.

The wide space got smaller when she was close to the entrance. Ellie noticed something shiny, picking it up, turns out it was a staff. A singular crystal rose was embedded in its center, and it complimented the silver color of the object.

'What's with the roses?' Ellie asked herself while admiring the crystal rose, a little shocked at how it wouldn't break when she tapped it with a rock she found on the ground.

The staff was perfect in her hands as if it was solely made for her to use. Ellie twirled it around and she evilly cackled, "now I can just beat up anyone who tries to harm me."

Ellie held the staff in her left hand and arrived at the entrance. She squinted her eyes at the sun, her eyes adjusted to the brightness and the pain gradually lessened, allowing her to see the outside world of this unfamiliar world.

What greeted her was a forest filled obviously with trees, but what set it apart was the size of these trees. They were as tall as a two-story building and its width were like a truck, the trees were squished together and there was barely any space... they were like a couple that just started dating.

It was enchanting, Ellie marveled at the beauty of the lake near the forest. The fields of flowers were on her path as she inches closer to the lake that was like the sky.

"You're finally awake, Master."
