"Miss Gina, may I presume to ask you a question?"

Gina Shapiro lifted her beautiful, dazzling eyes to look at the man sitting in front of her, who she had only met twice before, and nodded her head.

He was the potential suitor introduced to her by a patient she took care of. Although he seemed a bit old-fashioned, he compensated for it with his down-to-earth personality.

Liam Nagy blushed and appeared somewhat embarrassed, taking a sip of his coffee to calm his nerves before slowly asking, "I heard from Mrs. Won that you have a child, is that true?"

"Do you mind?" Gina asked with a calm and peaceful smile.

The reason why she agreed to this blind date was for the sake of her child.

She has accepted her tragic life of over two decades; she doesn't yearn for love, she just hopes her child won't repeat her mistakes.

"I want to know, who is the father of this child?"

This question must have been asked countless times already as Gina smiled gently, as warm as the wind in March, "The child's father has passed away."

Liam was taken aback by her reply, but her smile gave him an inexplicable feeling.

"I heard rumors, saying that you had a sexually promiscuous past, which is why you had a child and didn't know who the father was..."

"So who told you that?" Gina asked in the same gentle tone, but Liam could feel a pressure emanating from her exquisite, lovely eyes.

"Who said it isn't important, I just want to know if it's true?"

"Rumors stop with the wise. I believe Mr. Liam should be able to judge for himself."

Liam stared at this composed woman and upset by the fact that she might have been maligned by others, but there was still a thorn in his heart.

"I believe that Miss Gina is by no means the person you described. I have another question, if I may."

Through their two encounters, he felt this woman was gentle, generous, mature and intellectual. Marrying her would undoubtedly inspire the envy of others.

"Go ahead."

"If we were to get married, I hope to adopt our child to my aunt and uncle. They've been married for many years and yet have no children. Trust me, they will treat the child as their own. As for us, we'll surely..."

"I'm sorry for interrupting, but Mr, I think this would be as far as we can go. A distinguished man like Mr. Liam would have no difficulty finding a beautiful woman without a child."

Saying so, Gina picked up her things from the table, patted him on his shoulder and left without waiting for his response.

If it weren't for her child needing a residence permit to go to school, she wouldn't even consider blind dating.

No one treats a child who is not their own well, the man just now is a case in point.

Ding, ding, ding– Charlie special ringtone sounded, and Gina’s scowl faded from her face as she picked up the call.

"Mama, mama, when are you coming back? Charlie is hungry and my stomach is growling..."

After hanging up, Gina went to the market to buy fresh some ingredients, and then headed home to cook for her child.

It was strange how while on the bus ride home, Liam’s query echoed in her head.

"Where is your child's father?"

She'd like to know where he is as well.

But perhaps it no longer mattered, because having Charlie was already enough blessing for her.
